WHAT CAUSES SKIN DARKENING (HYPERPIGMENTATION)?
Hyperpigmentation develops when your body produces excess melanin, the natural brown or black pigment that creates your natural skin color. The melanin in your sensitive areas is more susceptible to hormone changes than the melanin in other areas. Because of this, these areas tend to become darker with hormone fluctuations. Your body may also produce a surplus of melanin as a response to sun exposure, consistent friction (rubbing) and inflammation.
CAN I BUY THE PINK INTIMATE SYSTEM TO USE AT HOME?
While an at-home remedy by this name is promoted by some online, our in-office Pink Intimate System treatment is different and offers increased effectiveness. We combine topical tranexamic acid with the topical glutathione associated with the Pink System to escalate its potency, and we must monitor for skin irritation due to this. Before your treatment, do not shave, use any hair-removal products or use any exfoliating products or devices for three days. On the day of your treatment, gently cleanse the treatment areas before coming into the office.

This system is made from a delicate mixture of ingredients containing:
- Stabilized monochloroacetic acid (MCA)
- Enhanced kojic acid
- Bisabolol

When performed by a trained, experienced provider, this treatment is considered extremely safe.
